children's day!

when we sang the quirky little children's day song.
when we had the aces day workout.
when the half day off was all i cared about.
when teachers would buy us ice cream. (teachers?? being nice to us?!)
when i had no clue what we were celebrating exactly.

to all parents, without whom there would be no children.
to all teachers, who made the day extra special.
to all friends, who probably had no clue either what children's day meant.
to the inner child within all of us.
to all children, it is your special day after all :)
